Wealth Consciousness - The Source of All Abundance

by cdromcsc

depak chopraAffluence, unboundedness, and abundance are our natural state. We just need to restore the memory of what we already know. — Deepak Chopra

Affluence is the experience in which our needs are easily met and our desires spontaneously fulfilled. We feel joy, health, happiness, and vitality in every moment of our existence.

Affluence is reality, and the true purpose of this book is to give us an insight into the nature of reality. When we are grounded in the nature of reality and we also know that this same reality is our own nature, then we realize that we can create anything, because all of material creation has the same origin. Nature goes to the same place to create a cluster of nebulas, a galaxy of stars, a rain forest, or a human body as it goes to create a thought.

All of material creation, everything that we can see, touch, hear, taste, or smell is made from the same stuff and comes from the same source. Experiential knowledge of this fact gives us the ability to fulfill any desire we have, acquire any material object we want, and experience fulfillment and happiness to any extent we aspire.

The principles expressed in this book relate specifically to the creation of unlimited material wealth, but these principles can be applied to fulfill any desire, because they are the same principles that nature uses to create material reality out of a nonmaterial essence.

All of material creation is structured out of information and energy. All quantum events are basically fluctuations of energy and information. And these impulses of energy and information are the nonstuff that make up everything that we consider stuff or matter.

So it becomes clear that not only is the essential stuff of the universe nonstuff, but that it is thinking nonstuff. For what else is a thought but an impulse of energy and information?

We think of thoughts as occurring only in our head, but that is because we experience them as linguistically structured thought that is verbally elite and speaks to us in the English language – in my case, with an Indian accent. But those same impulses of energy and information that we experience as thoughts –those same impulses – are the raw material of the universe.

The only difference between thoughts inside my head and those outside my head is that I experience thoughts inside my head in linguistically structured terms. But before a thought becomes verbal and is experienced as language, it is just an intention. It is, once again, an impulse of energy and information.

In other words, at a preverbal level, all of nature speaks the same language. We are all thinking bodies in a thinking universe. And just as thought projects itself as the molecules of our body, so too the same impulses of energy and information project themselves as space-time events in our environment.

Behind the visible garment of the universe, beyond the mirage of molecules, the maya – or illusion – of physicality, lies an inherently invisible, seamless matrix made up of a nothingness. This invisible nothingness silently orchestrates, instructs, guides, governs, and compels nature to express itself with infinite creativity, infinite abundance, and unfaltering exactitude into a myriad of designs and patterns and forms.

Life experiences are the continuum in this seamless matrix of nothingness, in this continuum of both body and environment. They are our experiences of joy and sorrow, of success and failure, of wealth and poverty. All these events seemingly happen to us, but at very primordial levels we are making them happen.

The impulses of energy and information that create our life experiences are reflected in our attitudes toward life. And our attitudes are an outcome of and expressions of self-engendered impulses of energy and information.

Let the “Master Key System” change your life

by cdromcsc

Are you ready for an amazing metamorphosis in your life and circumstances? Weary of being ill and exhausted? Tired of being penniless? We are here to let you know you that if you study and apply yourself to mastering the principles presented in “The Master Key System” you will produce abundance in all areas of your life.

Charles F. Haanel (1866-1949) was a notable businessman, and student of the Russian philosopher Baron Eugene Fersen. Sometime circa 1909 he wrote a 24 lesson self-instruction course called “The Master Key System”. His students were the notably dominating businessmen of that era and his course was said to sell for $1500, which at the time was about 2 years wages for the average working person! It seems that all of the Captains of Industry in the early 1900’s applied these principles to their lives and businesses.

Make no mistake, this is not just another ebook, this is a graduate level correspondence course in philosophy. You need to look upon it as such and study with care and devote yourself to comprehending these principles. It will be well worth your time to study this with care. Everyone who has studied it and comprehended the knowledge presented has become exceedingly affluent.

All of his students went on to greatness , became very wealthy and even begged Mr Haanel not to sell this course to the general population for fear that they might also make use of these amazing secrets. These powerful secrets were carefully handed down in prehistoric times within the aristocratic class and from father to son and were never before available to the average person. This vast knowledge is that powerful. However unless you carefully study and learn to apply these principles you will never benefit. If you were to read the lessons as you would a book you couldn’t absorb the knowledge and discover how to employ it in your life.

However,Mr. Haanel did eventually make the course available to the general public in the form of a book which was published in 1919.

The book reportedly sold over 200,000 copies before supposedly being banned by the church in 1933. When you read the book you will instantly understand why it had the Church Hierarchy worried and in fear of losing their religious, and highly lucrative monopoly on “God and all matters Spiritual”

Apparently a few copies of this original 200,000 survived and were again carefully distributed among friends. Legend says that while he was at Harvard, Bill Gates got his hands on a copy, and this inspired him to drop out of Harvard to pursue his dreams of a computer in every home. The same is said of the leaders of every successful company in silicon valley, it seems these original copies changed hands at high prices because of the extreme value of the information within.

Now thanks to those same leaders of silicon valley, this powerful knowledge is available in digital format so that all who wish may learn the secrets of the ages and apply these to their lives. Charles Haanel’s philosophies are found almost everywhere you turn and probably one of the better known proponents of his success teachings is none other than Napoleon Hill, author of “Think and Grow Rich”. Along with “The Science of Getting Rich” “The Master Key System” served to influence the authors of the highly popular DVD “The Secret”

These principles really work, but it takes focus and hard work on your part as you will need to retrain your subconscious mind to put everything in motion. It is worth the time and hard work because the universe wants everyone who desires it to live a life of abundance.

Richard Dine has a website where you can receive the "Master Key System" course at no cost or obligation. Please visit us at MapToMillions.com and sign up to change your life today.

The Secret Behind the Secret

by cdromcsc

Long before there was a secret for Rhonda Byrne the producer of “The Secret” to publish in her highly popular DVD of “The Secret” Even Before Wallace Wattles published his Book “The Science of Getting Rich”, which is the book Rhonda is seen holding as she explains how her daughter gave her an old book that contained the secret.

Before any of these wise people published their works Baron Eugene Fersen was the one who taught many of these teachers . Some names you might recognize who were influenced by Eugene Fersen, according to Laura Taylor-Jensen, Chief Lightbearer (third generation), were
Charles F. Haanal, author of The Master Key System, and new thought publisher Elizabeth Towne.Elizabeth Towne was the publisher of Wallace Wattles’ The Science of Getting Rich.

This is the granddaddy of all the early teachers, Baron Fersen was not able to even publish before he renounced his claim to the Russian Throne and became a US Citizen and in the meantime many of his students published their works first.

We have arranged a source for you to obtain a trilogy of Baron Fersen’s works in electronic form so you can learn from the master himself.

Do You Have Problems Applying The Law of Attraction in Your Life?

by cdromcsc

Millions of people have been exposed to “The Secret” DVD and have learned the basics of how the law of attraction works, yet are having problems applying these principles to manifest abundance in their life. In my opinion, I believe that I have discovered a major problem in the application of these principles within your life.

What do you think the problem is? If you guess anything external to yourself, you are wrong! As far as I can see the difference in those who achieve great wealth using the law of attraction, and the majority who don’t see any difference is their subconscious mind. Yes the problem is in that portion of your mind that you do not have control of.

It doesn’t matter how much you consciously visualize your new home or automobile or relationship, your subconscious mind may be working against you. While you may be consciously visualizing abundance, your subconscious may be expressing concern regarding debt. The subconscious thought regarding debt may actually be attracting more debt into your life. Since the law of attraction tells us that what we think about most is what we will get, we think we are concentrating on abundance, while subconsciously our mind is worried about paying the rent.

Reprogramming your subconscious mind can be a difficult undertaking and in some cases almost impossible. However we are very lucky to live in an enlightened age where there is a solution to this problem.

Using self hypnosis and subliminal messages we may connect with our subconscious and “rewire” those innermost thoughts to reflect our external concentration on a life of abundant riches.

The Courage To Take Action by Brian Tracy

by cdromcsc

Perhaps the greatest challenge that you will ever face in life is the conquest of fear and the development of the habit of courage. Winston Churchill once wrote, Courage is rightly considered the foremost of the virtues, for upon it, all others depend. Fear is, and always has been, the greatest enemy of mankind. When Franklin D. Roosevelt said, The only thing we have to fear is fear itself, he was saying that the emotion of fear, rather than the reality of what we fear, is what causes us anxiety, stress, and unhappiness. When you develop the habit of courage and unshakable self-confidence, a whole new world of possibilities opens up for you. Just think what would you dare to dream, or be, or do, if you weren’t afraid of anything in the whole world?

Fortunately, the habit of courage can be learned just as any other success skill is learned. To do so, we need to go to work systematically to diminish and eradicate our fears, while simultaneously building up the kind of courage that will enable us to deal with the inevitable ups and downs of life unafraid.

Syndicated columnist Ann Landers wrote these words: If I were asked to give what I consider the single most useful bit of advice for all humanity, it would be this: Expect trouble as an inevitable part of life, and when it comes, hold your head high. Look it squarely in the eye, and say, I will be bigger than you. You cannot defeat me.’ This is the kind of attitude that leads to victory.

The starting point in overcoming fear and developing courage is, first of all, to look at the factors that predispose us toward being afraid.

As we know, the root source of fear is childhood conditioning that caused us to experience two types of fear: the fear of failure, which causes us to think, I can’t, I can’t, I can’t; and the fear of rejection, which causes us to think, I have to, I have to, I have to.

Based on these fears, we become preoccupied with the idea of losing our money, or our time, or our emotional investment in a relationship. We become hypersensitive to the opinions and possible criticisms of others, sometimes to the point where we are afraid to do anything that anyone else might disapprove of. Our fears tend to paralyze us, holding us back from taking constructive action in the direction of our dreams and goals. We hesitate, we become indecisive and we procrastinate; we make excuses and find reasons not to move ahead. And finally, we feel frustrated, caught in the double bind of, I have to, but I can’t, or, I can’t, but I have to.

Fear is also caused by ignorance. When we have limited information, we tend to be tense and insecure about the outcome of our actions. Ignorance causes us to fear change, to fear the unknown and to avoid trying anything new or different. But the reverse is also true. The very act of gathering more and more information about a particular subject causes us to have more courage and confidence in that area. There are parts of your life where you have no fear at all because you feel knowledgeable and completely capable of handling whatever happens.

Another factor that causes fears is illness or fatigue. When we are tired or unwell, or when we are not physically fit, we are more predisposed to fear and doubt than when we are feeling healthy and happy and terrific about ourselves.

Once we’ve recognized the factors that can cause fear, the second step in overcoming fear is to sit down and take the time to objectively identify, define and analyze your own personal fears. At the top of a clean sheet of paper, write the question, What am I afraid of?

Now, before you begin, I need to make an important point: All intelligent people are afraid of something. It is normal and natural to be concerned about your physical, emotional and financial survival. The courageous person is not a person who is unafraid. As Mark Twain said, Courage is resistance to fear, mastery of fear & not absence of fear.

It is not whether or not you are afraid. We are all afraid. The question is, how do you deal with the fear? The courageous person is simply one who goes forward in spite of the fear. And here’s something else I’ve learned: when you confront your fears and move toward what you are afraid of, your fears diminish and your self-esteem and self-confidence increase.

However, when you avoid the thing you fear, your fears grow until they begin to control every aspect of your life. And as your fears increase, your self-esteem, your self-confidence and your self-respect diminish accordingly.

Begin filling out your list of fears by writing down everything, major and minor, over which you experience any anxiety. The most common fears, of course, are the fear of failure and the fear of rejection.

Some people, compelled by the fear of failure, invest an enormous amount of energy justifying or covering up their mistakes. And some people, compelled by the fear of rejection, are so obsessed with how they appear to others that they seem to have no ability to take independent action at all. Until they are absolutely certain that someone else will approve, they refrain from doing anything. Once you have made a list of every fear that you think may be affecting your thinking and your behavior, organize the items in order of importance. Which fear do you feel has the greatest impact on your thinking, or holds you back more than any other? Which fear would be number two? What would be your third fear? And so on. With regard to your predominant fear, write the answers to these three questions:

1. How does this fear hold me back in life?

2. How does this fear help me, or how has it helped me in the past?

3. What would be my pay-off for eliminating this fear?

Some years ago, I went through this exercise and concluded that my biggest fear was the fear of poverty. I was afraid of not having enough money, being broke, perhaps even being destitute. I knew that this fear had originated during my childhood because my parents, who grew up during the Depression, had continually worried about money. My fear was reinforced when I was broke at various times during my 20s. I could objectively assess the origins of this fear, but it still had a strong hold on me. Even when I had sufficient money for all my needs, this fear was always there.

My answer to the question, How does this fear hold me back? was that it caused me to be anxious about taking risks with money. It caused me to play it safe with regard to employment. And it caused me to choose security over opportunity.

My answer to the second question, How does this fear help me? was that, in order to escape the fear of poverty, I had a tendency to work much longer and harder. I was more ambitious and determined. I took much more time to inform myself on the various ways that money could be invested. The fear of poverty was, in effect, driving me toward financial independence.

When I answered the third question, What would be my pay-off for overcoming this fear? I immediately saw that I would be willing to take more risks, I would be more aggressive in pursuing my financial goals, I could and would start my own business, and I would not be so tense and concerned about spending too much or having too little. I would no longer be so concerned about the price of everything. By objectively analyzing my biggest fear in this way, I was able to begin the process of eliminating it.

You can begin the process of developing courage and eliminating fear by engaging in actions consistent with the behaviors of courage and self-confidence. Anything that you practice over and over eventually becomes a new habit. So let’s focus on some of the areas where you can practice to develop the habit of courage.

The first and perhaps most important kind of courage is the courage to begin, to launch, to step out in faith. This is the courage to try something new or different, to move out of your comfort zone, with no guarantee of success. John Ronstadt, a professor at Babson College who taught entrepreneurship for 12 years, conducted a study of those who took his class and later became successful. He could only find one quality that they had in common: their willingness to actually start their own business in the marketplace. He calls this the Corridor Principle. He said that as these individuals moved forward, as though proceeding down a corridor, doors opened to them that they would not have seen if they had not been in forward motion. It turned out that the graduates of his entrepreneurship course who had done nothing with what they had learned were still waiting for things to be just right before they began. They were unwilling to launch themselves down the corridor of uncertainty
until they could somehow be assured that they would be successful, something which never happened.

The future belongs to the risk takers, not the security seekers. Life is perverse in the sense that, the more you seek security, the less of it you have. But the more you seek opportunity, the more likely it is that you will achieve the security that you desire. One way to get the courage to begin, from which everything else flows, is to plan and prepare thoroughly in advance. Set clear goals and objectives, then gather information. Read and research in your chosen field. Write out detailed plans of action, and then take the first step.

The second kind of courage is the courage to endure, to persist, to stay at it once you have begun. Persistence is a form of courageous patience, and it is one of the rarest types of courage. Courageous patience is having the ability to stand firm after you have taken action and before you get any feedback or results from your actions. When you plan your work and work your plan through patient persistence, even in the face of disappointment and unexpected setbacks, you will build and develop the quality of courage within you.

Whenever you feel fear or anxiety, and you need to bolster your courage to endure, switch your attention to your goals. Create a mental picture of the person that you would like to be, performing the way you would like to perform. There is nothing wrong with thoughts of fear as long as you temper them with thoughts of courage and self-reliance. Whatever you dwell upon, grows . . . so be careful.

The last type of courage is the courage to conquer worry, a form of negative goal-setting. It is dwelling upon, talking about, and vividly imagining exactly what you don’t want to happen. If you worry long enough and hard enough about something, you are going to attract it into your life. The great tragedy is that even if the situation you are worrying about does not materialize, your health and your emotions will suffer just the same. And the fact is that most of things that people worry about never happen.

The only real antidote to worry is purposeful action toward a predetermined goal or solution. Since the conscious mind can only hold one thought at a time, when you get busy doing something to resolve your problem, you will not have the time or the mental capacity to worry. And before you know it, your worrysome situation will have been resolved.

The mastery of fear and the development of courage are essential prerequisites for a happy, successful life. With a commitment to acquire the habit of courage, you will eventually reach the point where your fears no longer play a major role in your decision-making. You will set big, challenging, exciting goals, and you will have the confidence of knowing that you can attain them. You will be able to face every situation with calmness and self-assurance. And the key is courage.

UNLOCKING THE POWERFUL SECRET MESSAGE HIDDEN IN THE SCIENCE OF GETTING RICH

by cdromcsc

“At Paris, just after dark one gusty evening in the autumn of
18–, I was enjoying the twofold luxury of meditation and a
meerschaum, in company with my friend, C. Auguste Dupin, in his
little back library, or book-closet, au troisieme, No. 33 Rue
Dunot, Faubourg St. Germain …”

So begins one of the most famous of all American short stories,
“The Purloined Letter,” penned in 1844 by the celebrated writer
Edgar Allen Poe.

The story tells the tale of a famous woman who is being
blackmailed by a man who has stolen from her a letter containing
extremely damaging information. After the police have searched
the thief’s lodgings thoroughly, looking into every possible
crack and crevice where the letter may have been concealed,
they’re at a loss because they KNOW the letter is there, yet they
can’t find it, no matter how hard they look.

Thoroughly bewildered and being pressured to retrieve the
incriminating sheet of paper quickly, the police prefect pays a
visit to Monsieur Dupin, a famous private detective:

“The fact is, we have all been a good deal puzzled because the
affair is so simple, and yet baffles us altogether.”

“Perhaps it is the very simplicity of the thing which puts you at
fault,” said my friend.

“What nonsense you do talk!” replied the Prefect, laughing
heartily.

“Perhaps the mystery is a little too plain,” said Dupin.

“Oh, good heavens! who ever heard of such an idea?”

“A little too self-evident.”

“Ha! ha! ha! — ha! ha! ha! — ho! ho! ho!” roared our visitor,
profoundly amused, “oh, Dupin, you will be the death of me yet!”

While the Prefect laughs and dismisses the idea that the letter
could be hidden right under his nose, that, in fact, turns out to
be exactly the case. The famous Detective Dupin triumphs yet
again and steals back the purloined letter which the thief has
“hidden in plain sight” by leaving it right out in the open.

Now my question to you — in light of deepening our understanding
of The Science of Getting Rich — is this:

Are you Detective Dupin or the police prefect?

In other words, are you focusing so intently on what may APPEAR
to be the message of the book or what you expect it to say that
you miss out entirely on what just may be the REAL long-lost
secret of prosperity in ALL its forms, financial and otherwise?

Or, like our hero Dupin, have you spotted the “hidden”
information and had it jump right off the page and into your more
and more delightful life?

Well, if you’re still a bit puzzled — or even completely baffled
– hang on, because we’re about to walk right through the clues
’til you see it!

In any how-to manual, of course, you always find lists of do’s
and don’ts to follow to achieve the desired results. And Mr.
Wattles’ book is no different in that regard.

So let’s take a look at a few of his prescriptions and see what
ONE THING they ALL have in common!

Mr. Wattles tells us that to practice The Science of Getting Rich
successfully we need to …

* Understand that there is no limit to abundance.

* Accept that we are worthy and that our true desires are, too.

* Abandon competitive thought.

* Don’t worry that someone else could beat you to all the good
stuff.

* Avoid unethical practices in business and elsewhere.

* Look for ways to add value in all you do.

* Spend as much time as possible contemplating your desires: See
what you want as if it is already a done deal — imagine it
clearly, “bringing out all its delightful details.”

* And take that even further: “See yourself owning and using
them. Make use of them in your imagination … In the mental
realm, enter at once into full enjoyment of the things you want.”

* Notice when your thoughts turn to worry, doubt, and fear so
that you can choose other thoughts that feel good and lead you
back to positive energy.

* Marinate yourself in gratitude! (There’s a whole chapter and
more on this one aspect. That’s a BIG clue!)

* Be careful what thoughts you choose to dwell on: “Things are
not brought into being by thinking about their opposites.”

* Avoid dwelling on or talking about your own troubles at all.
The same is true for “horrible conditions” in certain places or
for groups of people. Never speak in a discouraged or
discouraging way.

* “Give no anxious thought to possible disasters, obstacles,
panics, or unfavorable combinations of circumstances.”

* Don’t rush, overwork, or waste time trying to figure out some
“strange, unusual, or remarkable action to perform as a first
step toward getting rich.” Just do what you normally do but with
a new attitude, point of view, mindset.

* Not sure what action to take? Then you’re not ready to act yet.
Go to gratitude, contemplate the vision of what you want, don’t
rush and get yourself all anxious and uptight.

* Use your will power only to keep your mind off what you don’t
want and focused on what you DO want to attract and create in
your life.

Have you spotted a common thread yet?

Here’s another clue: Pick one of the recommendations above (and
this is just a representative sampling) and imagine yourself
doing what Mr. Wattles recommends.

Now … how does doing that cause you to feel?

If you’ve seen the answer, congratulations! If you haven’t quite
gotten it yet, that’s fine, too. We’ll take it a step further.

Let’s pick the first one on the list. What feels better to you –
believing that abundance is unlimited or believing that if one
person has more, someone else must go without?

Or jump down the list to “Marinate yourself in gratitude.” What
feels better to you — looking around and seeing so much to
appreciate and be grateful for? Or the opposite?

Do that with the whole list up there. Better yet, get out your
copy of the book and reread it, looking at every bit of advice
Mr. Wattles gives and noticing what is likely to be the IMMEDIATE
RESULT in your own mental and emotional state.

My friend, when you really “get” this at a deep level, you will
have the key that unlocks it ALL!

The real secret of practicing The Science of
Getting Rich is to focus ONLY on what makes
you FEEL GOOD.

Your own JOY is the secret key to all
abundance!

You are constantly impressing your mental images on the Formless,
constantly sending out a signal, constantly asking for whatever
it is you are focusing on to be delivered to you.

Not just the things you want, but everything you give your focus,
faith, and feeling to. And that delivery is ALWAYS completed.

(Now, not every little thought that comes flitting through your
mind is going to manifest — just the ones you dwell on. And
which ones are those? The ones you feel any emotion about.)

So it’s ESSENTIAL for you to feel as good as
you can, as much of the time as you can.

My friend, this is great news!

It simply does NOT feel good to worry, to rush, to give less than
your best, to get into competitive mind, to blame or judge or
criticize, to soak up all the bad news in the world, to rant
about politics, to tell everyone all your troubles, to bitch and
moan about everything you don’t like, and on and on.

But it feels GREAT to turn on your powerful imagination and
practice being, doing, and having all you desire — to really get
into it until it feels real to you.

Here’s an example. One Sunday afternoon I was lying in a hammock
in a friend’s backyard, thinking about the new home I wanted in a
new location on the other side of the country. I closed my eyes
and imagined my hammock was at the end of the dock out behind my
new house and my cruising sailboat was tied up right beside me.

As I lay there in the sunshine, envisioning all the details of my
surroundings, I imagined I could smell the salt water and hear
the docklines creaking a bit. I imagined another friend coming
down from the house suggesting we go for a sail and have dinner
at a nice restaurant on the other side of the water, and so we
did …

A while later the back door opened and my friend came out and
said, “How long have you been out here?” And when I checked I was
astonished to find out I’d been “daydreaming” for nearly two
hours!

I had gotten so delightfully absorbed in
creating and contemplating my “clear mental
image” (CMI) that I’d lost all track of time.

And the best part was that I felt incredible! You know that
little thrill you get when something wonderful happens — a
delicious physical sensation you feel sort of all over, and it
can sometimes even make you almost shiver as you grin or laugh
right out loud?

Well, I had it big time — and that’s EXACTLY how I knew that the
reality of my CMI was on the way!

Exactly how and when delivery takes place — that part’s not up
to me. That’s up to the Formless. My part is just to get crystal
clear on the desire and all its “bright promise.” When I do that
– when YOU do that! — it feels fantastic.

So, my friend, that’s the secret! And your part of the process is
simply to envision whatever it is you desire to be, do, or have,
and then PLAY with that vision until you feel great. Do it often,
until (as Mr. Wattles notes) all you have to do is think of your
desire and the whole big picture jumps into your mind and pastes
a big happy grin on your face.

All the rest — all the heavy lifting, all the “figuring out,”
all the work — is left to the Formless, the Universe, the
Supreme Mind, God.

Your part is just to be and feel the joy of it until INSPIRED
action just arises naturally.

ONE MORE IMPORTANT QUESTION FOR YOU

Now, whatever it is that YOU desire to be, do, or have, ask
yourself this: WHY do you want it?

When you get right down to it, you want it because you think it
will feel good in one way or another, right?

Hmm.

So … in order to get what you desire so that you will feel
good, you first need to …?

Yeah! You got it!

Feels pretty good, doesn’t it? ;-D

The Power of Observation by Edmund Ng

by cdromcsc

I remember a few years ago, I was at on Causeway Point Shopping Centre queuing up for a order at Pasta Mania. If you know me, you’ll know I’m very observant and enjoy looking at people and things around me.

Next to Pasta Mania was Bee Cheng Hiang that sells barbecue meat. To my surprise, it was a slow day for them and the outlet was empty. There was not a single customer in sight. Then something struck me, the sales rep started offering free samples of the barbecue meat to the passer-bys. Of course this was a killer strategy.

I started counting. Amongst 10 customers who tested the barbecue meat out outside the shop, 8 of them proceeded to enter the shop and purchased something. A whooping 80% Hit Rate! I started reverse engineering the actions and tried to analyze what really happened.

Firstly when the passer-bys started eating the free barbecue meat, it started a reaction. Salivas were engaged and it send signals to the brain. A desire was also created. Hence the high success rate.

If you are observant enough you will start realizing that many companies use this strategy. The beauty salons, spa retreats, disposable lens companies. How about automobile companies that offer free test drives. There’s more to it.

The one thing that offline marketers and online marketers don’t understand is the term ‘Impulse Buying’. In fact almost all products are bought on impulse. I’m imagining my wife walking in and out of boutiques. I can’t really figure out the difference as there are too many designs of clothing and too many choices. One thing I’m sure though is that if the salesgirl doesn’t close my wife on that particular blouse or piece, she’ll be gone for

Those retailers that understand that theory will be successful. Those who don’t will likely be out of business. When you create the desire, you better  know how to do a closing.

Going back on the point of being observant. All you need to do is to open your eyes and look around. Don’t just take things for granted. For me, I always analyze why this shop is so quiet, why the other shop has a long queue. I take note of what’s working and what’s not. You can start from there.

If your business is not doing well, all you need to do is to check out the market leader of your industry. Analyze their operations and understand what they’re doing correctly or wrongly. If you don’t even know who’s your competition then I’ve got the strong feeling that you’re not serious in your business or you’re too entrenched in the day to day activities to know what’s really happening outside.

I’m going to share some more observations. Some can be deemed controversial. Read at your own risk.

******************************
Some of my other observations.

1. The Really Successful Businessman all went through a hell lot of Sh*t before being really successful.

If you’ve been down for a long time, don’t worry, the more sh*t you go through, you have a higher chance of being really successful. Of course, you have to make sure you really learn from the past lessons.

2. You are the result of what you have done in the past.
If you’re in debt right now, you probably did a lot of wrong decisions in the past months or years. On the contrary, if you are successful right now, it is probably the right actions or decisions that you’ve done.

3. Most Successful Businessman Don’t Smoke.
I used to smoke but have since quited. Maybe really successful people cherish their body and want to live a ripe age. Of course, thanks to my wife who restricts me from smoking.

Warning - Controversial Observations
************************************
You’ve been warned!!!

I’ve done a small little observation test on 30 of my friends and the results are really astounding. I declare I’m not a sexist or MCP.

4. The Guys Who Carry Women Bags Will Not Have Kids.
This is really scary. The statistics are really at the top 90s. Firstly, guys who carry women handbags really look silly. If she’s in the toilet and you’re just helping her carry it as a gentlemen, it’s fine. However, if you’re just carrying it all over the place, my advice is to drop that habit or get another girlfriend who will not get you to do that.

Apparently, those guys that carry women handbags are being too nice and accommodating. Somehow, it affects the genes and I have many friends who have not been able to have kids as they’re too nice. As guys, I think we need to be a little domineering and take the lead. If you see Animal Planet you will understand that only the leader of the pack gets to breed.

5. Those Guys Who Carry Womens Bag will not be successful.
This is the most scary statistic I’ve got. 100% of those who carry women handbag don’t run their own business. Most of them work at executives or manager with none of them at Director level.

P.S. My plead to all the women in my mailing list. If you want to have kids and want your husband to be successful, please don’t get them to carry your bag.

P.P.S. - All the guys in the mailing list better not carry any women handbag. This is an order! I want to help you become successful in life.
